Selling & VAT & VAT on Ebay Fees (UK)
I've sold an item for which the advertised sales price and the price paid included VAT @20%, as this seems to be the only way to sell (unless I'm mistaken). We always state in the description that VAT is included.
Ebay have then taken their fee as a percentage of the including VAT sales price. They have then added VAT onto their fee which they have then deducted from the full sales price.
Surely this can't be right.

Ebay fees for business sellers are stated as net of VAT, so it needs to be added on.
Their fees are nothing to do with your VAT status.
