Selling Corals
Can anyone explain or preferably eBay itself, why if I try and sell a live coral my listing is taken down when in fact there are literally 1000's of coral frags and even shops dedicated to selling coral and live rock that seem to be allowed to do so?
Why is there a 'coral and live rock' category if this is against the rules??
Why is it OK for some and not for others?
Well over 5000 Coral frags currently listed

OP10 months agoYes I fully understand that it goes against the live animals policy (nothing ilegal about it)
But why are some sellers semingly allowed to continue listings 100's of corals but my single listing was removed?

Mentor10 months agoIS their location in the UK? We have different rules to other sellers around the world. Its may also be that ebay just haven't caught up with the other sellers yet.

Mentor10 months agoIt's because there are 7 billion listings on eBay at any one time, so just impossible to check each and every one for the different selling legalities attached to those items, that is, whether they should be removed or not.
eBay rely too, on members to report listings, there's a report icon the ? mark bottom right on every listing, so members can report a listing which can be seen to be breaking a selling regulation.
Yours was spotted and reported, others, when they too are spotted and reported, will be removed.

Mentor10 months agoI think you will find coral comes under Marine Life in the banned items.
Coral reefs are protected so logically Coral is also protected. Just because a lot are listed does not mean it is allowed or legal.
