I am selling a large item collection only and have been asked if customer can view before purchasing. Is this OK?

Mentor7 months agoNo, I'm afraid that providing any personal contact details for collection is not allowed until after the item has sold.
This is because some sellers took advantage of inspection visits to make a private sale, evading eBay's fees (where applicable) and denying the buyer the protction of eBay's money back guarantee.
eBay now scans every message between members to block and offending messages, and may penalise the sender.
What has to be done now is that the buyer pays through eBay checkout (cash on collection is no longer allowed, except for motor vehicles etc.) . If the buyer isn't happy with the item they can agree with the seller to cancel the sale.
