Sellers advertising items that are not actually available
Why is it that when you report a seller who is listing items that are not actually available and you report this to Ebay who then reject your report? What is the point of being a dilligent Ebay member if you are ignored and a report you send in is dismissed. This particular seller has already had negative feedback for selling items where the poor buyer has waited for a number of days and ends up asking what has happened and this seller then states that the item is not in stock so they provide a refund. Too little, too late!

Mentor4 months agoEbay won't be interested, they never ask seller questions.
Item not received cases are only route to report.

Mentor4 months agoEbay won't know if seller has stock or not.
But, if buyers keep opening cases for not received, ebay will eventually take action.

Mentor4 months agoIf seller cancels sale for out of Stock, they will soon be banned. Out of stock cancellations get defects and should of course get negative feedback from buyers.
What is the point of selling items that do not exist, unless buyers are silly enough to not bother to get refunds?

Mentor4 months agoCorrect , they shouldn't and if enough buyers receive the reason out of stock when opening cases for item not received, these will generate damaging defects on the seller's account. They cannot gain too many of those defects which will bring them below Standard for Selling and selling sanctions that can lead to selling bans.
Yes, they are shooting themselves in the foot.
