I ordered an item, paid for it, then later got a message to say was out of stock. I therefore looked at other items and bought from another seller. Then the original guy messaged to say he had sent his item out. I said that I had ordered from someone else, and that he should have asked me whether I wanted his item, he said I was okay to send back. I said yes but I think you should pay return postage. I went back and fro to him, each time he just ignored my words. I did get the money for item returned but no return postage. Think it is sharp practice, I was annoyed.
If it was out of stock then the seller should've immediately refunded, leaving you free to buy elsewhere.
Now that you've returned it there isn't a way to get the seller to reimburse you for the return postage cost, there might've been if you'd come here and asked before returning it, but not now.
The seller completely ignored any of my words about refunding my postage. It's not the money, it's the principle involved. I never give negative feedback and usually eBay is a good place, bought loads over the years with no trouble. I just couldn't find anywhere on eBay to make this kind of complaint. He will carry on with this sharp practice, I am sure.

Mentor2 weeks agoThere isn't anywhere to make a complaint in this situation, you do still have the option to leave feedback though.
