Seller wont tell me where I can collect my item and ebay wont let me cancel either. Now what?

Hi all
I have bought an item which is listed as collection only.
I have asked when I can collect the item but am getting no response from the seller so I asked ebay to cancel the order because I could not pick it up, ebays response was to decline the cancellation as it should have arrived before now.
so the seller has stopped talking to me and ebay wont let me cancel, so now what happens?
I havent given the seller the collection code so the money as far as i know the seller hasnt been paid either.
this has been going on for nearly a month now

OP3 weeks agoAre you telling me I can sell something for £190 as a collection only item, then completely ignore the buyer and still get paid regardless.

Mentor3 weeks agoYes. But if you open a case for item not received (provided you are in tine), the seller has to refund.

Mentor3 weeks ago · EditedIt is up to buyer to act, you do not ask ebay to cancel a sale, you open a not received case, then up to seller to refund if not on day 4 THEN you escalate to ebay.
“then completely ignore the buyer and still get paid regardless.”. Yes they can if you the buyer lets them, and do not take the proper correct action. within 30 days.As far as ebay are concerned if you do not open a case, then everything is in order.

Mentor3 weeks agoEven without a collection code payments are released eventually, usually after 14 days. You should be able to open a "not received" case via the dropdown menu arrow for the item on your purchase history page. Then escalate it after 3 complete working days.
