Seller won't provide postage label
Hello
I have recently spent a large amount of money to buy a leather footstool. The item arrives, it's nothing as described or pictured and it absolutely stinks. I ask for a refund. The seller accepts but won't provide a label and asks me to post to INDIA. I agree. He won't transfer money to pay for it. He offers partial refund. I accept, he won't go through with it. eBay thinks I am next to take action and send the item. Ak every time I contact the chat or I simply tells me to ask for a label....is there any way to get more help from eBay? The 'aak eBay to step in and help' option has simply gone from the drop down list.

Mentor5 months agoDo as Tommy says, ebay provides perfectly good systems, it is foolish not to use it.
I am assuming it came from India in the first place, and not located in the UK. Open case as said, if seller does not provide a return label, then escalate to ebay. It is possible you will get a refund without having to return, as in this sirt of case the buyer dies not have to pay return postage.
You can only ask ebay to step in AFTER you have opened a case and seller has not responded.

OP5 months agoMy issue is that I cannot open a case. It's not an option for me. They accepted the return so eBay just think I have to post it. I cannot find a way to escalate it. The Open a case' option isn't available, the 'Ask eBay to step in' option isn't available. It always simply says 'post the item before X date' in every scenario. Even the chat bot doesn't understand the prompt of 'label not provided' and various other iterations.
Thank you for the advice. Any more help would be greatly appreciated

·5 months agoIt looks as if you have opened a return case (using the Money Back Guarantee) and that is why Ebay are asking you to return the item.
The seller won't be able to easily provide a postage label if they are in India.
Contact Customer Services - get a callback and speak to a person using the link below - and explain that you can't return the item as you have no label.
Was the item sent to you from india?
If it was advertised as being in the UK and was sent from within the UK, you only need to send back to the seller's UK warehouse.

Mentor5 months agoIF the item is not as described stop faffing about with the seller who is playing you a long and use the eBay Money Back Gaurantee and open a not as described case. (I am assuming you have had the item for less than 30 days?)

OP5 months agoThank you for the advise, I cannot seem to find how to activate the money back guarantee? It keeps looping me round to 'please post the item' as action is technically expected on my part. But I have no label, no money offered. I don't know how to get the money back guarantee to interact with me online?
