Seller unable to access funds
Hello.
I purchased an item through bidding and won. The seller could see the funds in Ebay had been paid but Ebay were not releasing them to the seller. The seller has sold many items before. The seller is based in Germany - I am in the UK. They have cancelled the order and are returning the funds. But I don't understand why the couldnt receive the funds.

Mentor5 months agoUk sellers can be subject to a number of different payment holds as explained in help and contact. Despite these holds they are told to post once ebay receives the money.
I don't know how it works in Germany.

OP5 months agoThanks for your reply. I replied to the seller to just post the items and in a few days time the funds should be released to him. I received no reply apart from a message to say that he had re-imbused my funds. I noticed a few days later that he had re-listed excatly the same items but under a diffrent Ebay account. I have a feeling that he thought the original auction price that I had bid at and won was too low and sneakily used a delivery address/money held by Ebay "problem" as an excuse to pull out of the deal.
