Seller sent wrong item - do I really have to pay return postage due to their error

Hi. I ordered x2 pairs of Man City socks. Seller sent me x2 pairs of Man United socks (eeeek). These were meant to be a present for my autistic grandson, he would have a complete meltdown if I gave him the Man United socks. I contacted the seller and informed them of their error, adding the required photos as proof. Seller hasn't responded so I have opened a case with ebay as 'received the wrong item'.  sellers listing says buyers have to pay return fee. Do I really have to pay the return p...

No you don't.   Buyers only pay return postage for returns that are for a change of mind, not the wrong item.
