Seller sent me an offer and within seconds ended the listing
As above, it was a mere matter of seconds from me receiving the offer to me going to accept it only to find that they have ended the listing and relisted. Are they allowed to do that ?

Mentor1 week agoYou don’t say but do you mean relisted at a higher price.?
It is possible that seller sent an offer (as said he would not know who received the offer) but made a mistake with the amount. Once made the only way to withdraw it would be to end the listing.

OP1 week agoThanks for your reply @tommystrezures but it was a cracking offer so obviously i was about to accept so they must have just ended the listing and relisted but i would have assumed that if you got an offer then the seller would have to honour it.

Mentor1 week agoIF for example there are 5 watchers on an item or people viewing when offers are sent, out as a seller we don't know who they are too or how many. The eBay system offers you the chance to send offers, but as soon as someone has paid its withdrawn. The only way you can tell if it was sold is with the item number click in advanced search and enter the number and to include completed lots, it should then show up.

OP1 week agoThanks again for your detailed instructions. Nope the item didn't sell. The seller must have realised it was a fab offer and ended the listing. I at the time was the only viewer and watcher so thought my luck was in and pounced on the chance to get it at that price. Oh well c'est la vie as they say. Thanks anyway.

Mentor1 week agoYou are very welcome @weedeochandoris from what you say its the bad sign of a seller doing that. Personally I would avoid them in the future.
