Hello!
The AI help has been useless so I will post this here so maybe someone can tell me how to report this properly, I brought a item from a seller in the US, the item shipped from china and when checking the yodel tracking it says that it is coming straight from Aliexpress. Upon searching, I payed almost £30 for a £8 item and now have to pay even more to return said item to get a refund.
How can i report them to ebay? The AI tells me drop shipping isn't allowed and then when I report it, the AI for reports tells me they found nothing wrong (Maybe its in the wrong category? They have no report category for drop shipping) I now have to pay half the price of the product to ship it to America but they sent me a useless product that keeping it isn't worth it either as its the wrong size and colour.

Mentor2 months agoEbay are correct, because you said wrong size, you pay return postage.
Probably not worth returning item.

Mentor2 months agoIt is up to buyers to do their homework.
I never use Amazon, so wouldn't know if my purchases are cheaper on there.
You were obviously happy with price.
Not all sellers dropship, but some sell on multiple sites,so probably easiest way to do it.
If you open item not as described case, seller has to supply returns label or they may just refund without return.

OP2 months agoEbay said I have to pay for the return because I put it as wrong size/colour which the shipping is half the price I paid in the first place. I was happy thinking I was getting a proper product and not just a cheap aliexpress item. It is not from amazon as my shipping said from aliexpress which is known as a cheap website even compared to amazon. It isn't even it got sent by her from America as the tracking told me it was straight from aliexpress as the sender, not her ebay name and not a warehouse address, from the shopping website aliexpress. You answered my question with the first answer as I guess that's just allowed for some awful reason so I will mark that as solution. Thank you for answering me.

Mentor2 months agoIf it was a business seller, drop shipping is allowed.
If it was the wrong item, you open item not as described case.

OP2 months agoThey really can just send me a £8 item and make me pay £30 because she is a business seller in the US listing aliexpress items? I found the exact same item on aliexpress with the photos she used when I saw the shipping telling me aliexpress was sending the item so I know they made me massively overpay :I I am already in the process of returning but I was hoping to report too, but if that's just allowed then I won't use ebay in the future because I am not risking this kind of thing again.

OP2 months agoI got the item that she shipped straight from Aliexpress, it arrived as the wrong colour and size so I am currently returning it. Just feels wrong that she can hand over my address to a different shopping website.
