Seller sending persistent messages to get feedback changed.
I bought an item with a misleading specification which turned out to be very inaccurate. After posting feedback to warn other members I'm getting persistent Ebay messages from the seller to change feedback. This is becoming very stressful and intrusive because each message triggers an email from Ebay. How can I stop getting these unwanted Ebay seller messages from my PC based online account? Thanks

Mentor5 months agoIf it's the negative you've left for the seller registered in China they do tend to be persistent in trying to get the feedback removed.
However, I'd recommend ignoring the messages and deleting the emails without opening. They'll eventually give up.

OP5 months agoI tried to file an Ebay report because I thought it was against Ebay policy for sellers to pressurise buyers to modify feedback? The report bounced and I've tried a second time. If it is going to be a nuisance for buyers to give accurate feedback which warns others, they won't give feedback in future for a happy stress free life.

Mentor5 months agoLet me guess 🤔, this is from a Chinese seller?
This is their usual ploy, so best action is not to reply, just delete immediately when you see a message from them, do not even read it, they'll soon stop and unfortunately turn to their next disappointed buyer.

OP5 months agoThanks, you are all spot on. However I'm not bothered if Ebay message servers fill up, but annoyed that these persistent Ebay incoming messages are copied to my personal email account generating the equivalent of spam. I can stop Ebay emails by blacklisting, but then I probably wouldn't get any messages and be a customer anymore?
I have noticed Ebay emails from sellers are anonymised, but I think they contain a subject header unique to the seller so I'll try blacklisting that, which is half the solution if it works.

OP5 months agoDoesn't work if you ignore them, they just repeat sending the same message several times 'Did you receive the message we sent you?'
