Seller selling fake Montblanc pens as genuine
Advice on how to contact Customer Service to get this seller reported. In March I bought - or believed I bought as it was listed as new - a genuine Montblanc rollerball pen for £152 - with Buyer Protection. Too late to send back. In August the pen had a problem (gem fell out of clip and needed to be replaced) As I had bought it as genuine I sent it, via a very reputable jewellery company, to MontBlanc itself to be mended. Montblanc declared it to be a fake and returned it untouched. Would not have discovered this if it had not had a problem. I had the embarrassment of having to go to the jeweller to collect it and be told it was fake. I felt very embarrassed, as though I had tried to scam them. The Seller STILL selling an IDENTICAL item on the ebay uk site (even with the same photograph as mine) at £187. He is selling Montblanc pens as real and new - ot the very least sold me one. and listing an identical one. Using their name and booklet and logo - identical - Wrote and complained twice but got no reply. I JUST WANT THIS SELLER STOPPED BEFORE OTHER BUYERS GET RIPPED OFF. Any ideas how I can do this. Tried to report it to Customer Service but just cannot get through. By the way. If I had knowingly bought a cheap 'lookalike' I obviously would not be bothering to ask the Community...

Mentor1 year agoThe report link is on every listing, ? bottom right corner.
It is worth using it properly as while it might not get anywhere, it might get ebay to look at the seller.
There are several sections to fill in all with pre set reasons,
I would suggest for first section using reason “Not allowed”
Detailed reason “Suspect listing is Fraudulent”
Additional details (optional). I suggest using this section to explain how you know it is a fake.

OP1 year agoI tried all that - several times - but the like just said message failed.
That or my message was too long ha ha.
I have decided to contact Montblanc direct and give them the info and leave it up to them to stop someone selling the fakes. If one wants a knock off then fine but not conned when supposedly buying a genuine one.
I am a seller and I know the rules.....
Cheers

As the trademark holder is now aware of the seller, they should take it up with eBay.

Mentor1 year agoThere's a report link on every listing, but to be honest the only way to highlight it is to report it to eBay via a return, which you now cannot do.
At that price it's worth looking at taking legal advice and possibly action against the seller if you have confirmation from Mont Blanc that it's counterfeit product.

OP1 year agoYes I do. And the jewellers that I originally took it to also got a reply from Montblanc. So the documentation is out there
