Seller refuses to accept defective item return
On 13th November, my granddaughter bought a pair of boots using my account. When the parcel arrived, I was away and when I returned I opened the boots and they looked ok so I left feedback - big mistake as I didn't inspect properly. On taking out of the box, the boots had all white markings on them (mould?) and when I tried to clean them, just wiping, the sole was just dropping off in lumps and the surrounding edge of the sole. The boots have literally rotted due to storage conditions, I suspect, and they are totally unfit for purpose. The seller has been very nasty and I don't know their name or address to return them and she refuses to acknowledge the return. What do I do?

Mentor10 months agoMake sure you open a NOT AS DESCRIBED CASE, then seller has to provide return label, if not you escalate to ebay after 3 days.
The money back guarantee is on every listing, it is there to be read.
In view of the condition, seller might just refund, to save the expense of Tracked return postage.

Mentor10 months agoYou read up on how the ebay money back guarantee works and then you use it to open a case for item not as described and return the boots at the seller's expense for a full refund.
Leaving feedback makes no difference. Ebay will step in if necessary and there is no need to contact the seller.
