Seller problem eBay not helping
I purchased a pair of new shoes on 8 July. They arrived on20 July and were too small although my size (43) was in the items.
I asked for return and was blanked by the seller.
I started a return which was immediately closed by eBay .
Now their chat bot is giving me the runaround.
What can I do?

Mentor6 days agoPrivate sellers are only allowed to sell their own, unwanted possessions on eBay.
Sellers who buy stock to resell are required to register as business sellers. Your seller is offering these shoes with multiple choices of size and colour. But they are still only registered as a private seller.
As a business seller, albeit not registered as such, they are required by law to accept returns. Oddly, their stated returns policy is that they do not accept returns, yet their own description states that they accept change of mind returns for 15 days.
My advice would be to tell them that you wish to use their 15 day return offer (although you will probably have to pay for the postage).
If they refuse, as they are a UK seller located in Barnsley I suggest that you get all the information together and make a complaint to the trading Standards Office in Barnsley (or whichever office covers their area). Make clear that they are offering multiple choices of size, colour etc which clearly points to them trading as a business. As does their eBay username! Point out that they are falsely presenting themselves as a private seller and refusing to accept returns, which business sellers are required to do by law.

Mentor6 days agoDoes not fit is considered to be change of mind, and a private seller can refuse a return.

Mentor6 days agoUnless your seller is a UK registered business seller they're not obliged to accept a return.
You could try listing them yourself.
