Seller is not shipping item
I made a purchase for a macbook pro m4 and the seller told ke he forgot to mention in description that he wont be able to ship it until 2 weeks as he is out of town. He asked me if i want to cancel but i heard money back guarantee lasts for 30 days so i decided to wait.
now 2 weeks and 3 days have passed, the seller is not responding for 3 days, he provided a tracking id a day or two after i made purchase (30th November) but it says sender is preparing item.
i have already involved ebay and they asked me to wait till 19th, then they'll step in if it hasnt been resolved.
My question: Is this is common scam? Ive seen alot of sellers saying they cant ship for 2 weeks, does it weakens buyer's claim when they have waited for 2 weeks? Any suggestions that can help me guarantee a refund? Or any mistakes that i should avoid?

Mentor8 months agoYou need to escalate to ebay now, do not wait for them to do it,
if is not automated, so you need to go case & ask ebay to step in.
Better to get refund & then buy when seller is back.
If you wait, you may end up with no money or item.
