Seller ignoring my messages after faulty items.
Summary: craigwhite92 experienced issues with car parts purchased from a seller who claimed to offer a 3-year guarantee and 2-year warranty. The parts led to mechanical problems in the vehicle, and despite attempts to contact the seller with messages and images, the seller has ignored all communications for the past three weeks. craigwhite92 had to fix the issues at their own cost, and is seeking advice on how to take action or potentially receive a refund, noting that eBay's platform does not allow them to report the issue.
So 5 months ago I bought some car parts from a seller, that claimed they have a 3 year guarantee, and a 2 year warranty.
Soon after they were fitted, my vehicle started knocking. I've contacted the seller and they have ignored my messages and pictures,
Fixings on the suspension ball joint we're not torqued up and came loose, one of the three also came out on the motorway, and the other two were loose. Both drop links have perished, and failed already, and the suspension arms are below par in quality too. I've had to rectify this and pay for my wheel alignment once again at my cost.
The seller has ignored multiple messages and images over the past three weeks, and there is no way on eBay to raise a report. How can I take action and potentially get my money back.

Mentor1 month agoYou cannot report this to eBay as they do not offer warranties or guarantees on items, just that they are just as described on receipt. If they are not, a buyer has 30 days under eBay's 30 day MBG, Money Back Guarantee policy, to return the item for a full refund.
You are too late to claim a refund from eBay, also probably too late to claim from your payment provider, most offer a 120 day buyer protection policy.
If purchased from a registered UK business, who offered a guarantee and is now not upholding this, then turn to Citizens Advice for your next steps, if you wish to take this further.
