Seller has provided insufficient postage to cover size of returned item
Summary: eltel459 is facing an issue with a return process where the seller provided a postage label unsuitable for the item's size. They reported missing items upon delivery and received return authorization quickly, but the postage issue persists. *vyolla* suggested contacting the seller about the postage label and recommended reaching out to eBay customer services for assistance through specific channels.
As per the title, having agreed a return, the seller has issued postage for a parcel which is smaller than the one being returned. The courier requires the item to be placed in a locker which is smaller than the parcel. The goods were delivered on 4 August and the seller was immediately notified that there were items missing. Authorisation to return the goods was given on 7 August and, again, seller was notified of the issue with postage immediately. I'm interested to learn how I should proceed as there seems to be no provision to request eBay's assistance in resolving.
Thanks in anticipation

OP3 weeks agoHi Vyolla, thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I notified the seller immediately that I discovered that the postage was insufficient for the size of parcel, but, to date, have heard nothing from them. I will take your advice and attempt to get the option to live chat with a CS rep.

Mentor3 weeks agoHave you told the seller that the return label they've provided isn't suitable for the size and weight of their item?
You may need to contact eBay in the morning and let them know. I’ve found that the best route to contact eBay Customer Services is via the link below where you can call them or request a call back if you’re using the app (if you’re using desktop you’ll need to go round the houses with AI and start a chat then keep typing ‘agent’ until you get the option to live chat with a CS rep or to have a call back):
