Seller has provided an invalid return label – return deadline is 2 September.
Summary: kasi_7235 is experiencing issues with a return label provided by a seller, which is invalid at the Post Office. They have contacted the seller for a new label but have yet to receive a working one and are concerned about missing the return deadline of 2 September. They seek advice on whether the seller or eBay can issue a new label, as they want to avoid unnecessary trips to the Post Office.
Hi everyone,
I’m trying to return an item, but the return label provided by the seller does not scan at the Post Office. Royal Mail told me that the label/code is invalid.
I contacted the seller and asked for a new valid return label. They said they would update me, but I still haven’t received a working label.
My return deadline is 2 September, and I’m worried about missing the deadline. The seller appears to be sending the same old label again, which cannot be scanned.
What should I do in this situation? Should the seller provide a completely new label, or can eBay update/reissue the return label?
I have already made a trip to the Post Office and had to bring the item back because the label could not be scanned. I don’t want to make another trip unless I have confirmation that the new label will work.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Mentor4 days agoYou'll need to try and speak to someone at ebay. Not easy these days. Click on the help link at the top of the page and then select a subject and type in "speak to agent". Keep repeating until you get through.
If all else fails you could buy your own return postage. ebay say to add your own tracking ....
Go to the return request in Purchase History.
Select the postage courier from the dropdown list. If you select 'Other', enter the courier name.
Enter the tracking number.
Select Mark as sent.
