Seller has not provided a returns label...
Summary: eddy6419 shared their frustration with a faulty Ford Focus bonnet lock and the difficulties encountered when trying to return it via eBay. The return process was hindered by a non-functional link and communication barriers created by AI chat bots, making it challenging to reach a real person for assistance. **peaseblossom** suggested repeatedly typing "speak to agent" in the help section to eventually reach a human representative.
Had an issue with a ford focus mk2 bonnet lock/release replacement, shoddy cheap rubbish that worked twice then failed to work the third time leaving me the problem of removing rad grill and then having to break the replacement part in order to get access to engine bay.
First came the usual 10% discount and I get to keep a pile of broken rubbish which eventually led to 30% discount blah blah..
So started a returns claim via ebay which he accepted...ebay then sent the normal "send your item back now" message with a postage label link to print the returns label but alas there is nothing on the link!
I have since been trying to contact ebay to step in but again I come against a brick wall fronted by AI chat bots that just lead you round in circles.
Why is it so difficult to talk or message a real human being on EBAY?.....is it any wonder buyers are no longer buying in the numbers they did years ago.
Does anyone have any advice as to how to speak to real people on this site?

OPSep 9, 2026 at 6:53 PMThanks for that….although as if by magic I have had a refund but I think it’s eBay that has refunded and not the seller, that being the case then thank you eBay and to the seller…..well,best I keep my tongue quiet!

Mentor1 month agoThe only way we have now is to click on help, select a subject and then type "speak to agent". Keep repeating until you get through.
