Seller has cancelled order, no reason, and not answering message
Summary: jul9968 expressed frustration over a canceled order for a second-hand sewing book on an online platform. After receiving a refund unexpectedly and without explanation from the seller, jul9968 suspected the seller might be seeking a higher price. Despite reaching out for clarification, there has been no response, leading to annoyance over the lack of communication and the disruption caused. jul9968 intends to file a formal complaint if the seller lists the book at a higher price.
Hi, I ordered and paid for a 2nd hand sewing book about 5 days ago. I was looking forward to it coming but then 24 hours ago I got some sort of refund email refunding me for what I've paid. I didn't cancel the order and don't want to. The seller has given no information as to why they have cancelled it. I messaged them over 24 hours asking for an explanation and they have not replied. It is my guess that they thought they could get more for the book than they originally advertised it as, and decided to cancel the sake and not honour it. My understanding of eBay is that they are supposed to honour their sales. I'm really annoyed actually. It's like they think the seller has nothing better to do than find what they want to buy and process financial transactions, but they can just drop out of the commitment when it suits them for whatever reason, and then refuse to answer your messages as to why. Absolute time wasting. If I see them selling this book at a higher price I will be submitting a formal complaint.

Mentor1 month agoCancelling for no good reason, that is, without a buyer's agreement as in your case can bring , deservedly so, damaging defects to the seller's account.
All you can do, if you wish, is to contact Customer Services, and explain you did not authorise this cancellation and we're very disappointed not to receive your won and paid for item.
You will not know or see ( defects do not show for buyers), any action taken, but defects are usually given.
Leave appropriate feedback too, mention nothing about a refund or eBay involvement, this breaks feedback rules, and can be removed. Something simple such as.... ' Very disappointed the seller did not fulfill my transaction.'
