Seller dragged out contact to run down the clock
I bought a picnic table at the end of May which arrived damaged, I contacted the seller who offered to replace it. Saying it would take 15 to 20 days nothing arrived, I contacted again the seller apologized and said they were sending it, still nothing arrived, now they won't respond and the clock has run down getting eBay involved and leaving feedback. Is there anything I can do to either bring this SCAMMER to the attention of other buyers, and or get my money back

Mentor2 weeks ago · EditedIt's not a question of warning buyers about "this scammer". Keeping a buyer talking until eBay's 30 day time limit to claim their money back has expired is one of the oldest and most widely used tricks in the book.
It only works because many buyers will spend weeks in trying to negotiate with a seller rather than spend minutes reading about eBay's money back guarantee.
There is a link to this guarantee in every listing, and pages of guidance on how to use it in eBay's help pages. There is a one-click link to eBay's help pages at the top or bottom of every page. It's hard to "warn" buyers who simply make no attempt to learn how they are protected.
As for how you may still be able to get your money back, your best hope is that your payment provider may be able to help.

OP2 weeks agoI tried to negotiate because I felt it was a nicer way of behaving. However now I have learnt my lesson and we'll no longer deal directly with the seller but just through eBay.

Mentor2 weeks agoNever go for replacements, always go for refund, then if necessary buy again.
You only get one case, if replacement was no good, you would already have used the one case.

Mentor2 weeks agoIt is too late for ebay but you have 120 days to contact your payment provider and ask them for a refund or chargeback. Best of luck.
