Seller description not being seen
I am often being sent messages from potential buyers asking for information that I have put in the "Seller's Description" because people have not scrolled far enough down the page. It would be very helpful if the description could be moved further up the page.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Mentor6 months agoIt would be a good idea to cut out all the ads. for competing sellers, or at least put the relevant description FIRST. No wonder sales are in the doldrums, but if ebay does not help the seller, then ebay gets less fees.

Mentor6 months agoYes, I think we all have. Only yesterday I had somebody ask the size of some round stud style earrings that I'd photographed sitting on a ruler in my second photo.
Honestly, it's a buyer end issue, they just have to learn how to scroll down.
When you say that you're often being asked about your listing descriptions, how often is that? If more than once a day then there may be something amiss somewhere. Perhaps you can clarify?

OP6 months agoHi
It's not as often as that, generally once or twice for furniture items. It's not always possible to add dimensions in the main description but I always add them in the seller description. Similarly I've had a query about the condition of a vase asking if it has cracks or crazing, when the description (and photos) clearly show its condition. As you say, it's a buyer issue, but they would also find it helpful to know that there's more information about an item further down the page. It wouldn't take a web-builder long to add "Scroll down to see more" or similar to the listing template.
