Self Delivery
Hi everyone. A buyer paid for postage. But checking his address he basically lives next town to me. Time to package and post is more than me self delivering. How best can I handle self delivery?

You can't. If you listed it for delivery, the only proof that eBay will accept is tracking proof of delivery by post or by courier. Otherwise it will forever remain undelivered in eBay's eyes.
This would mean repeated delivery reminders, delay in releasing your payment and a risk that the buyer could use eBay's money back guarantee to claim a full refund , and keep the item for nothing.
If you are prepared to accept collection in person or deliver items locally, think about including collection as an option in the listing. That way, the buyer would receive a collection code to provide as proof of collection.

Bit of a faff, but the best way forward with the buyer's agreement would be to cancel the order citing ' Buyer requests to Cancel', this fully refunds the buyer and your seller account is not affected.
Then relist the item as Collection only, for the buyer to buy and pay again and will have that collection code to give to you when you hand deliver the item.
