Scam buyer
I sold an item, the buyer said I sent nothing in the box other than a random stick and opened a case. I spoke to a lovely advisor called Sara who looked at my very established, honest, 100% positive account I have had for 20 yrs and looked at theirs to see 0 feedback. Even if I had seen this, I would give people the benefit of the doubt but now, it's something to be wary of.
Anyway, Sara said she had closed the case and as a courtesy, eBay refunded buyer (which galled me as they have the lovely £200 item and the full money now) and I need not refund, I do not take the hit by this scammer. The problem is the return request is still open on my end even tho I was told I didn't need to do anything and it would be closed. What should I do? If I reply yes to the return, am I then responsible for the refund? I've never had an issue ever, I could cry. I sell some expensive items from my collection to buy different ones so this is real worry now. It's really put me off selling. What do I do about the return that's still open? 🙈😭

Just sit tight, do not contact eBay CS again.
