Samsung S23 not as described and has non genuine parts
Summary: scolly0_0 purchased a Samsung S23 described as "new and sealed" but experienced network issues and other malfunctions. After changing SIM providers and resetting the phone as per the seller's advice, the problems persisted. A report from Carphone Warehouse revealed that the phone has a non-genuine screen. With the seller unresponsive and the return window closed, scolly0_0 is seeking advice on how to claim a refund and contact eBay customer service for assistance.
Bought a " new and sealed " Samsung S23 in february this year , i have had nothing but trouble with it disconnecting from the mobile network , constantly having to reboot the device . So I assumed it may be the sim card and ended up changing providers to EE , still no joy . I also had the phone opening apps by itself so i contacted the seller and i was told to reset the phone , still no joy . Now the returns window has closed . I had Carphone Warehouse checvk out the phone and in their report they stated the screen is non genuine , the seller is now not responding , can i claim my money back ??? if so how do i get in touch with Ebay as that is hard work to speak to someone .
THIS IS THE REPORT BELOW
Customer phone is shown on the left.
Screen has different refresh rate (photo pattern) to standard Samsung.
In regular use the screen can be seen to have rounded corners rather than straight angles, and has more of a rim than standard Samsung screen.

Mentor3 weeks agoI'm afraid it's too late to do anything about it on ebay. They only allow 30 days for claims and don't get involved with warranties. Payment providers only allow 120 days. You could try the small claims court, now called money claim online. Also contact Trading Standards if it's a business seller.
