Royal Mail postage surcharge
I’ve bought an item from a seller that uses ‘eBay simplified postage’ - whatever that is. I’ve now had to pay a surcharge to receive my item as it was underpaid. The seller says it’s nothing to do with him. How do I contact eBay? The AI chatbot is not helping, nor the ‘contact us’. TIA.

Mentor1 week ago@tressygirl why should the seller pay, if its simple delivery it should be covered and if not then it should be eBay paying the surcharge, as the contract is theirs and RM's!! Best thing to do is not pay open an Item not received and eBay should refund. (you would hope!)

Mentor1 week ago · EditedEbay's simple delivery guidance says this won't happen, but clearly it does. The seller is therefore right, but how you would go about getting a refund from ebay if you pay the surcharge is another matter.

Mentor1 week agoI'm afraid there's nothing eBay can help you with here and your seller is seemingly wishing not to, help pay you that surcharge.
The way to handle this was to refuse the item, then open a case for item not received and to escalate after 4 days if not refunded beforehand , eBay would step in and force the refund.
Nothing to enforce that seller to pay the surcharge.
