Royal Mail is the only courier option, and they won't handle my item because it's too big. this only becomes apparent when my item sells
Summary: gedcam encountered an issue with Royal Mail's parcel size limitations when shipping an item that exceeded the maximum dimensions for Royal Mail, which became apparent only after the item sold. They suspect there could be a glitch defaulting their entry to the maximum dimensions allowed by Royal Mail. tommystrezures responded by confirming the size limitations for Royal Mail and suggested using other services like Evri or DHL for larger parcels.
my item is too big for Royal mail to send/collect, i hadn't realised this and it only became an issue when my item sold. looked like I had entered the dimensions incorrectly. There is no option to chose a different courier from here.
So i had to ask the buyer to cancel the sale, then i changed the dimensions to make sure this didn't happen again. Now it's happened again, exactly the same with the same item.
i'm wondering if there is some glitch that defaults the dimensions to the biggest royal mail can handle?
Any thoughts?

Mentor3 months agoRoyal mail medium parcel sizes max dimensions are length 61cm, x 46cm 46cm. (max weight 20kg) IF your dimensions are outside of this then you either need to use Evri or DHL with simple delivery.
