Round and round in circles we go
Summary: shelleyhills is experiencing difficulties with an eBay purchase. An item purchased over a month ago has not been delivered despite multiple attempts to redirect it to a local collection point due to address issues with the courier. They have opened a case on eBay, but the seller keeps extending it by citing courier updates. *vyolla* inquires whether eBay intervention is possible, while john1297576 advises that there is a 30-day limit for eBay assistance and suggests contacting the payment provider for a refund. The original poster is frustrated with the lack of resolution and the continuous cycle of excuses.
Please can someone help me? I've bought an item that was supposed to be delivered over a month ago. I changed the delivery to my local collection point as the courier was apparently struggling to find my address. Since then another month has gone by and the courier just keeps saying they couldn't find my address. In the meantime I've moved half way around the world so will now never receive it regardless of what happens. I've opened an eBay case and the seller keeps putting it on hold somehow because the courier keeps saying it's coming rather than owning up to losing it. Tried contacting eBay to chat with someone and can't take another round of relentless nonsense from the chat bot

Mentor3 months agoYou only have 30 days, so whatever the courier says is just waffle and excuses. eBay will not help once out of time, so contact your Payment provider if you want to get a refund..

Mentor3 months agoYou have 30 days from the latest estimated delivery date showing on your order to open an eBay item not received claim and for it to be able to be escalated to ask eBay to step in and help (after 3 business days).
If you've opened an eBay claim after the 30 day timeframe it'll just serve as a communications conduit between you and your seller, it can't be escalated.
Have you managed to open an eBay item not received claim and, if you did, is there an option showing to ask eBay to step in?

OP3 months agoI opened the case, it was supposed to be resolved weeks ago but the seller is somehow getting an extension every time because the courier is still updating the tracking info. First they couldn't find my address, then they couldn't find their own local drop off point, They just keep updating the tracking saying it's at the warehouse and they need more information on the address

Mentor3 months agoIs there an option to ask eBay to step in?
shelleyhills
OP3 months agoNope, it says it's been extended for another 10 days again and I can't seem to chat with or email anyone from eBay
