Returns - who pays the cost?
I bought a motorcycle battery and the listing stated a 24 hour delivery. The battery arrived 4 days later and, as the motorcycle was my primary source of transport, I bought another from Amazon which arrived next morning. I have gone to return said battery but I’m expected to pay the carriage charge. I don’t think that’s fair. I think the supplier should pay. I contacted eBay customer services but was told that there was nothing that they could do about it.
I can see why customers are deserting eBay in favour of Amazon if this is how customers are treated. Do I have anywhere to go with this complaint?

Mentor11 months agoAlthough listing said 24 hour delivery, what was estimated delivery date?
Some sellers will use 24 hour carrier, but it does not mean they post immediately after payment.
If item arrived with estimated delivery date, you have nothing to complain about.
As it was business seller, You can return item for full refund, but you pay return postage.

Mentor11 months agoThe description stated next day delivery
It would be interesting to see the listing, if you are are willing to post the item number.
Offers of real next day delivery are very rare on eBay. It usually means the next day after the seller's dispatch time, and even then the lastest estimated delivery date will be a few days later.

Mentor11 months agoLate delivery means you can open a Not as Described return and seller has to provide a paid-for return label.
