Returns
I recently sold some pre owned headphones and the customer messaged me at 3am to the say that the headphones were damaged, he also sent very poor quality photos. The issue is that the parcel was not delivered until after 10am on the same day, 7 hours later. There is no sign of damage to the parcel from the carriers tracking. I believe the customer is trying it on. EBay say I have to raise return postage and/or refund. Failure for me doing this will be a black mark against me. I have messaged the buyer and asked him to withdraw his return request, but no response. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Mentor8 months agoebay tend to side with buyers so it's usually best to accept the return. If buyer ends up escalating it to ebay they sometimes refund without return.

OP8 months agoThanks for your reply. I did speak to eBay on the phone and this was the impression I got!

Mentor8 months agoIf you used Simple Delivery and buyer used the reason "Item damaged" ebay should issue the refund themselves and you keep the payment, unless the buyer leads them to think it was not done in transit.
