Returned Item - time out collection
I sold an item to a buyer, but unfortunately they didn’t manage to collect the item from an inpost locker in time and the item got returned to me. The buyer still wants the item. How can I send it back to customer? Would eBay have returned the payment back to the buyer already? Or can I still go ahead and send my item and receive funds once it’s delivered? How do I get a label for a postage? On the order it says label has expired.

But as you have item back, cancel sale - buyer request.
Then relist for them to buy again.

OP4 days agoCan I ask the customer to send me money via PayPal for postage and send it to the customer? Or would your suggestion be the best solution with least amount of hassle with customer and eBay? I want to make sure I’m doing the right thing by the customer and eBay.

Mentor4 days agoThe correct thing is to cancel sale and relist to be bought again.
Trying to use paypal means exchanging contact details, which if picked up by ebay could get you suspended.
