Returned item hasn't arrived
Summary: slevo sold an item with a no return policy, but agreed to a return after the buyer claimed a misunderstanding about the item's make/model. Despite the buyer saying they sent it back, the tracking shows no movement, and the buyer is unresponsive. Meanwhile, eBay is holding the £150 and may refund the buyer without proof of return. *vyolla* suggests that a refund shouldn't occur without confirmation of the item's return.
Hi all,
I sold an item on a "no returns" basis but the seller contacted me to say they misunderstood the make/model of what I listed so could they send it back (not may fault). I reluctantly agreed and raised a return for them.
The tracking said they sent it on 9th July but it hasn't moved through the Royal Mail system since then,
Buyer isn't responding, and I have no proof they even sent the item back to, or anything at all for that matter.
eBay is holding the £150 funds and appear to be saying the item was delivered to me (it wasn't), or that as long as the item was posted, the buyer will get the refund (again, no proof they did send it)
Any clues, please?? Thanks!

Mentor3 weeks agoThe buyer shouldn't get a refund until the tracking has updated to show that you have your item back.
What are the exact words that you're seeing that make you think that eBay may refund?
slevo
