Return postage same price as item

Brought a door lock for my daughter who is off to uni for safety and it fits none of the doors and is such a bad design
Started a refund as not fit for purpose and the return postage is the same price as the item!
So cancelled refund and spoke to seller who said I have to take it up with eBay
All I get from eBay is automated response and AI that cannot deal with my request and we just keep going around in circles!!
How do I actually correspond with a person and not a robot

Mentor1 month agoSorry, once eby case is closed it can't be reopened.
Had you opened not as described case, seller has to supply returns label.
Try your payment provider.
