Return postage QR code disappeared as seller has processed a refund before sending the item.
I have recently started a return for an item as it did not match the description in the listing. The seller initially offered a partial refund which I did not accept. As I declined the partial refund, the seller then accepted the return and I was given a QR code to return the item for a full refund.
The seller in the meantime has processed the full refund, before I was able to post the item back to them. As such, the QR code has disappeared, and the seller is not responding to messages where I am asking for their return address. They are however chasing for the item back, so I am at a dead end.
Grateful for any advice - am I able to retrieve the QR code for the postage label, or will I have to wait for a response from the seller and their return address?

Mentor5 months agoSeller should only refund after item has been returned.
As seller has to pay for tracked return postage, depending on value of item, and reason for return, many just cut their losses and refund. Ebay then closes return case and Label as they assume seller does not want item returned.

·5 months agoOnce the seller processed the refund, the QR code was no longer valid for you to use.
I would send one more message to the seller explaining what has happened - you can't use the QR code and they will have to enable you to return the item.
They could send another label, but not via Ebay, or send you a stamped addressed postage bag, or arrange to pay you for the postage.
Give them a date to respond by and say that, if you don't hear by that date, you will feel free to dispose of the item.
