Return postage on faulty item
I bought a guitar and it arrived broken, seller has accepted the return and I was provided a returns label via royal mail, I took the item (a guitar) to the post office to send back but they refused to take it as the parcel measurements is bigger than they allow on the label (standard second class parcel) and bigger than they can accept over the counter and was told I need either have a label for parcel force or evri. I messaged the seller this information and the replied if I sent him my email address they would email me an evri label. I just wanted to check if this is OK as obviously ebay will have no information/tracking which is a worry and also the status of the return at the moment states the refund is conditional on the original label via royal mail and will be processed once the item is scanned by royal mail. Many thanks.

Mentor10 months agoYou need to keep it all on ebay to ensure you get the refund. You can contact ebay about it by requesting a callback on here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/eua?id=5275&mkevt=1&mkpid
But if it was a private seller using ebay's Simple Delivery if you opened a return using the reason "Item damaged" ebay will refund and the seller keeps the payment. No need to return the item.
If you're not sure ebay can check that for you. Or post again here with the item number or link and someone will check it.
