Return postage
Summary: 0518sharon shared their experience of buying an iPod Touch that arrived with error 53 and couldn't be fixed. They eventually received a refund but were not reimbursed for the return postage, which they were initially promised. Despite not opening an official case, they are frustrated and want the postage refunded due to misleading explanations. tommystrezures suggested that if the correct case was opened, the seller should provide a return label, while tobiasd4 indicated it might be too late to claim the return postage from eBay or the seller since a case wasn't officially opened.
I recently bought an i pod touch, it doesn't work with the error 53. Won't restore, update, nothing you can do with an error 53. Won't even turn on. Eventually and I mean Eventually I got a refund yesterday for the I pod. I paid the return postage with the understanding they would reimburse me but when messaging them yesterday they're not. Now I know its was only £3.30 but they tried to fob me off that the i pod worked and I only needed an upgrade to download my cds onto it. This is total rubbish and trying to fob me off with technical jargon. I'm digging my heels in to get it back. There's no option to get ebay to step in as they have given me a refund for the actual I pod but how can I get them to step in for the postage. Thanks for reading my long message

Mentor1 week agoDid you actually open a case to return the item? Does not work means buyer should have paid return postage.

OP1 week agoLuckily I didn't need to open a case, after weeks of messaging they gave me the refund for the i pod but not the postage. If they were nice about it I wouldn't bother about the postage but because they're fobbing me off that it's the software not the actual I pod and my fault for what I want it for I'm going all stubborn and want my postage back lol. There's no option for ebay to step in button as I suppose they've closed it off as I've been refunded for the I pod. So case closed

If you paid postage, no way to make seller refund you for this.

OP1 week agoNo but if i open a case with ebay they can get it from the sellers funds. But I can't see any option to open a case

As i said, correct way is open correct case & seller supplies label.
