Return a fake Chanel shoes

Dear eBay,
I would like to request an extension to the return deadline for the counterfeit item I purchased.
As soon as I received the item, I contacted the seller to report that it was fake and requested a return. Unfortunately, the seller did not respond, despite me contacting them promptly. The delay was therefore outside of my control.
I also had a pre-booked holiday arranged before this issue arose, and I am currently outside the UK. I will not return until 5 September 2026, so I am unable to send the item back before the current return deadline.
I have acted in good faith throughout and reported the issue as soon as I became aware of it. I would be very grateful if you could extend the return period until after I return to the UK, so I can send the counterfeit item back.

No, I'm afraid it wasn't. You didn't need to wait for the seller to respond, or even to contact them at all. It's important to be mindful of eBay's time limits, especially if you may be away when they expire.
By the way, you're not speaking to eBay here. We're just other users like yourself.
