Restriction support on category i haven't previously sold in.
Summary: tyounger-uk shared a frustrating experience with receiving a permanent restriction on selling clothing, a category they claim not to have sold in before. They were initially informed the restriction was a mistake but then told it was a permanent ban from 2014 without explanation. As a paying business seller, they are seeking advice on how to resolve the issue since they couldn't find direct contact for the support department. john1297576 suggested the issue might relate to VERO and recommended further reading on that.
Spoken to numerous people on the phone over last few months, None of which can tell me why i have a permanent restriction in a category i haven't even sold in before (clothing) .. was told it was a mistake and would be overturned by one gentleman. I was then transferred by him somewhere else to be told its a permanent ban from 2014 with absolutely no reason from someone else, i didn't even use my account for selling then, only the odd item, drum equipment mainly from whenever i updated my kit.
I pay for a second tear storefront at £70+ a month, business sellers should get more support especially when dealing with restrictions on accounts that have been placed on them by mistake.
Anyone have any tips for me please? Because the AI hasn't got a clue and i can't find a direct email for the department to contact them as they "don't deal with phone calls"
Kind regards Thomas

Mentor1 week agoYou have been given wrong information by CS I'm afraid.
Once a permanent restriction is made it cannot be ' unmade', it's a lifetime ban, and opening another account cannot help as they will be linked and gain the same rstriction.
I'm sorry but you cannot sell on eBay.

It is possible the answer is in VERO, suggest you read.
