I have been listing on Ebay and had a shop for twenty years without issue the without waning Ebay restricts my account and wants a passport image to prove who i am ,again after twenty years 700 listings removed no contact allowed via messages to members who want to order or want to know where my listing have gone. I,am told i have to wait 72 hours for EbaY to confirm my ID WITH NO CONCERN OVER MY LOSS OF EANINGS OR REPUTATION.Is there any way of resolving this quicker and who can i complain to as i am told it is just the way EbaY do it ?

Mentor1 week agoeBay is obliged to ask for this as part of the Know Your Customer (KYC) check, online payment handlers must comply with anti-money laundering and digital payment regulations.
My passport check clearance was pretty immediate, it shouldn't take long.

Mentor1 week agoMine was quick too on my driving licence. I don't seem to recollect an issue, all I will add is that any pictures of ID you upload have to be face on, no clipped corners etc. The guidelines registering as a seller etc are useful.
