Hello, I’m requesting help regarding a delivery issue that has left me without my item and out of pocket for the sale.
I recently sold an item worth £75. I dispatched it using the official eBay postage label that was generated for the order. The tracking showed the parcel as “delivered,” but the buyer reported they never received it.
After investigating further, I managed to track down where the parcel actually went. It turns out the postcode printed on the eBay‑generated shipping label was incorrect, even though the buyer’s address on the order was correct. Because of this postcode error, the parcel was delivered to the wrong location.
I have proof of this:
The receipt from the postal service shows the correct tracking number
The postcode on the label does not match the buyer’s actual postcode
The buyer has confirmed they never received the item
I have already refunded the buyer in full
This situation was not caused by the buyer or myself. The incorrect postcode was generated by eBay’s system, and as a result, I have lost both the item and the sale value.
I am requesting assistance to either:
Recover the item, or
Receive compensation for the loss caused by the incorrect label
I am happy to provide screenshots, the receipt, the label PDF, and any other evidence needed.

Mentor2 weeks agoIf your buyer opens an eBay item not received claim and posts all of the information you've supplied re the incorrect post code, because this was an eBay Simple Delivery label then eBay should refund the buyer, whilst you keep the original payment.
