Request for Reconsideration of Linked Account Suspension
Summary: cha-os shared their experience of receiving a message from eBay about their account being linked to a suspended one. Despite submitting required documents, their appeal was denied. They've been selling unique items on eBay for four years and have a history of identity theft. Seeking advice, they asked if filing another police report or seeking legal assistance might help. tobiasd4 suggested ensuring they are on the correct eBay site but noted that account reinstatement is rare.
I recently received a message from eBay saying that my account is linked to another suspended account. I uploaded my government ID, bank statements, and all other requested documents, but eBay still denied my appeal.
I have been selling on this account for about four years without any problems. I do not sell large amounts. eBay is mainly my hobby, and I sell unique lighters and collectible dishes.
My personal information and Social Security number have been stolen several times in the past. Credit accounts and other accounts were opened in my name, and I have filed police reports for identity theft.
I am a government employee working at NASA, and I always take rules and compliance seriously. It is very upsetting to be accused of breaking the rules when I have tried to follow them.
Has anyone had a similar situation? What can I do to request another review? Would a new police report, identity theft report, lawyer, or government legal assistance help? I also do not understand why eBay raised this issue only after four years.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You need to log out and back into ebay.com
Good luck with getting account unsuspended, ebay rarely do that.
