Reporting a seller issue
Summary: The discussion revolves around reporting an issue with a seller. redjames1234 initiated the conversation, but all posts, including the responses from papso22 and john1297576, as well as follow-up posts from redjames1234, contained no content (
I have recently bought a fairly expensive item from a seller who has breached one of Ebay's policies. I'm dealing with getting a refund separately, using the usual process (in this case, it hasn't arrived).
The seller is still selling on Ebay and continues to breach policy (item location, which, in this case, raises concerns about counterfeit goods, especially as the seller refuses to supply invoices etc) on the items they sell, so I have tried to report them. The form won't work. I can't submit anything.
Here's the form: Online Customer Service - Report a seller for a policy violation
Am I doing something wrong? I have ad blocks running on my desktop plus anti-virus software, could these be causing a problem?

None are.
Ebay appears to tolerate Chinese sellers masquerading as having goods in the UK (or wherever) when the goods are actually in China. Of course, many Chinese sellers do have goods in the UK-these are neither the problem nor the issue.
The manfacturer of the item has been contacted and has confirmed the the original item referred to, which has never arrived, is counterfeit, as they never ship from China because the item is not manufactured there. This has been reported to Ebay but no response yet.
And the reporting form still doesn't work. So, no solution.

OP4 months agoBrilliant. Just received another item advertised as located in the UK-but it was posted from China. Reported to Ebay, whose AI assessment said it did not violate any of their policies. Disappointing to say the least. Ebay doesn't stick to its own policies now.
To ice the cake, it was addressed to a street (but the right post code) nowhere where I live and ended up in an emmpty house. The person looking after the house retrieved it.
It seems all I can do is leave negative feedback.

I try to submit the form and it comes up with an error message ("We ran into a problem. Please try again later."). I've tried to submit a report over the last three days, with the same error message each time.
The item has not arrived. It was listed as being in the UK-it was in China. It is now stuck in customs somewhere. Since the seller has refused to give me an invoice -and I suspect that the item is counterfeit- and the delivery is now well past the estimated delivery date, I've raised an item not received case. I am heartily sick of Chinese sellers pretending to be UK based-and this item has been manufactured in China. The company that makes it does not manufacture them in China-so probably counterfeit.

Mentor4 months agoGive more information about breaching rules about Item Location!
You say you are dealing with a “Not received case” so not a problem with item purchased.
