Summary: 0151bola reported purchasing an item from a seller but received an empty package instead. Despite contacting eBay, they were unable to reach a real person for assistance, receiving only automated responses. They described the seller's actions as unacceptable and are seeking advice on how to speak to a human at eBay to resolve the issue.
I bought an item off a Seller and 8 days later I still hadn’t received it. I messaged the seller asking why it was taking so long and received no reply . I then contacted EBay who said if I did not receive it by a certain date then they would step in. They also said they had been in touch with the seller. With one day to go before the deadline I got a messsge from EBay saying my item had been delivered and they were closing the case and it could not be reopened. When I went to pick Up my item the seller had sent an empty unopened package. I have tried to contact eBay but just get an AI response. How can I speak to an actual person . This seller is a disgrace and pulling stunts like this is totally unacceptable.

Mentor2 weeks agoRetain the packaging for return --- If within 30 days from collection/delivery, it is now up to you, the buyer, to open a 'Not as described' case, seller either provides a return tracked label, and refunds on return, or just refunds if they do not want back. Worth a try.
