Rejected Collection Code
I bought an item and arranged and paid for courier delivery to me.
I gave the seller the Collection Code, but it is coming up ‘invalid’ when she enters it.
We’ve both gone through the various steps on ‘help & contact’, but we are going around in circles.
Item paid for. Item received. Seller can’t get her money from ebay.
How do we speak to a real person to sort this out? Help!

MentorSep 16, 2026 at 7:59 PMIf you bought and paid for a label, that no doubt would tell ebay it was not a. ollection and the code would become invalid.
Seller should have cancelled the sale, and relisted with postage cost. Ebay is inflexible and not following procedure will cause problems.

Just to clarify, I’m the buyer, and me arranging and paying for the collection did not enter the eBay system. I had paid for the goods and simply arranged for a courier to pick it up.
Would you still say this would invalidate the purchase? I don’t understand.
