Refunds for undelivered item
Hi 🙂
Some advice please? I sold an item which hasn't been delivered, it's now almost 2 weeks overdue. I used Royal Mail Simple delivery, tracking shows it has been courier scanned but is still at the National Parcel Hub. After contacting Royal Mail and not getting a satisfactory answer I'm going to advise the buyer to open a case with eBay to request a refund.
My question is....if the item is found and delivered, after the buyer has been refunded, will I be notified by eBay of successful delivery after a closed case or do I need to keep checking on the Royal Mail tracking service?
Obviously I'd like to know and can't rely on the honesty of the buyer to inform me. If the buyer keeps the item after being refunded and doesn't let me know, then I would deem this buyer as dishonest and would want to put them on my block list.

Mentor4 months agoWhen you use simple delivery one of the advantages is that ebay handles the refunds for item not received cases, you don't need to do anything, and you keep the sale proceeds.
So tell the buyer to open a case.
