Refunded new ebayer but their payment is still pending to me
Hi
Hope you can help.
A new ebayer joined ebay today and purchased some earrings from me at £119.52.
The buyer paid immediately but then requested a refund saying they purchased them in error.
I refunded the money as requested by ebay.
Their payment is still pending to me so ive currently lost £119.52. How long does it take for a pending payment to clear..

Mentor4 months agoYou haven't lost the money, and I'm presuming the cancellation and refund was done in then correct eBay way here.
Money from the sale in these instances are held, and if there isn't enough money in your eBay Balance to make the refund, your back up source is used, which is usually your bank account.
Once the refund is completed, the money on hold from the payout is released.

OP4 months agoRefund was done correctly via ebay.
The money was refunded out of my ebay balance so no back up funding needed.
The refund has been completed but the pending money from the purchaser is still pending.
How long does it take to actually be credited back to my account as currently its not there.

Mentor4 months agoNothing gets 'credited back to your account' what happens is that the pending payment is released.
We can't tell you when that will be.
