Refunded by Ebay then the item that was lost turned up
The item was lost in the post, so Ebay refunded me in full and closed the case I had opened. The seller received the item back at their address and immediately sent it again to me via another courier. It has arrived and the seller now wants payment in full. Do they raise an invoice or do I have to contact Ebay again? Thank you

Mentor5 months agoIf Simple Delivery was used by the seller, then refund should have been made by ebay, not the seller. You do say ebay refunded you, if so if anything you should repay ebay. I suggest you try contacting ebay to see what they say.
Are you sure that ebay did not refund, as if you pay the seller he could have had the money twice.

Mentor5 months agoThey should have relisted it for you to buy again, as they didn't do this, you need to pay them now via cheque bank transfer or PayPal friends and Family payment whichever suits you both best.
If PayPal is used, email addresses need to be exchanged, this can sometimes be found with the order details >> Show Contact Info. If not and you need to ask the seller for this, make it very, very clear in your eBay messages, as eBay do read these, the reason for these exchanges. Make it clear it's not to be used for an off eBay sale.
