Refund taken out of previous earnings

Hi can anyone help please. Yesterday someone bought some boots for £49.99 then asked to cancel later in the evening which I did. The refund has however been taken from funds from previous items sold does anyone know why this might be and how do i get it back?

This is just how ebay refunds. They take it out of your balance or funding source but you will get to keep buyer's payment when it clears.
