Refund of simple delivery
Ive recently sold an item and it automatically creates the postage label as simple delivery which wasn't needed so requested a refund through ebays online form. This is nearly 3 weeks ago and there has been no update and no confirmation has been sent out nit even a request showing that I requested a refund. I'm trying to chase this up but having no joy. Has anyone had a similar problem and how long does ebay normally take to refund the postage that wasn't used. Just concerned as there has been no confirmation that a request was made for a refund

Mentor5 months agoIf it was free delivery, then buyer paid you the total (item and built in postage).
You use this money to buy postage where you want, so no SD label was used, hence no refund.

OP5 months agoThe postage label automatically made as a simple delivery after the sale was made which i made the application to refund the label straight away and wasn't used so yes I refund would be due as a second label was made and that one was used

OP5 months agoI filled in the form provided by ebay but no confirmation was given back once complete but says it has to be made within 15 days but no proof has been provided of an application for a refund

Mentor5 months agoRefunds normally take 30 days! Why did you not need/want to use the ebay label?

OP5 months agoItem was under £20 and the postage was half the price of simple delivery so wasn't needed and still covered as standard royal mail delivery

However, why not use SD label, usually buyer pays for it and you get better protection as a seller.

OP5 months agoof the delivery method that was used. Plus had all the same garrentees with
simple delivery dur to the cost of the item.
